BeverlyHills4 had proportionally more children aged 5 to 19 years and adults aged 40 to 64 years with fewer adults aged 20 to 39 than Hamilton and Ontario (Figure 1a).
In 2001 and 2002, BeverlyHills4 residents were admitted to hospital at a rate of 76.6 per 1,000 population, lower than in Hamilton as a whole (93.3) (Table 2).
BeverlyHills4 had lower rates than Hamilton for all disease groupings except for an equal rate of pneumonia and a higher rate of osteoarthosis and allied disorders.
