Hon. Bharat Agnihotri (born April 9, 1953, India) represents the constituency of Edminton-Ellerslie as a Member of Legistlative Assembly of Alberta. He is a member of the Alberta Liberal Party. He was elected into the Legistlative Assembly of Alberta on November 22, 2004.


Background

Agnihorti was raised in the India. He went to Guru Nanak University in Amristar, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Economics and Political Science. Agnihorti has been an Edmonton resident since 1992. Agnihorti became a realtor in 1997, becoming a top-selling realtor of Edmonton and winning the Medallion Club Award, Chairman's Club Award and the President's Club Award.


Agnihorti has been active politically and culturally since coming to Edmonton; he has been a member of several charitable organizations and was the secretary of the Mill Woods Presidents' Club and a volunteer at the Grey Nuns Hospital.


Agnihorti is married to Rita and has two chidren. Agnihorti says that he enjoys watching cricket, playing table tennis and cricket, and taking long walks.
