Bharat Goenka is the Managing Director of Tally Solutions Ltd., India's leading company in business accounting software. He is the son of Shyam Sunder Goenka, who ran a company that supplied raw materials and machineries to textile mills and chemical plants in the southern and eastern parts of India. Gradually when the business was becoming dull, Bharat Goenka being a maths graduate, had the intuition to develop accounting software. In 1984, his father bought him an "IBM PC", that changed his whole phase of life. Bharat Goenka developed an accounting software called 'The Accountant'with no-codes. He and his father together started Peutronics in 1986 - renamed as Tally from 1988. And now the latest version is Tally 7.2,that includes a "VAT" (Value Added Tax) compliant solution. B.G was one of the Board members of Reliance Infocomm, as he is a close associate of "Mukesh Ambani". But recently he resigned as "Anil Ambani" becoming the Head of Reliance Infocomm.
