Encyclopedia > Bicol

Bicol Region is one of the regions of the Philippines occupying the Bicol Peninsula at the southeastern end of Luzon island. It consists of six provinces, namely, Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Masbate, and Sorsogon. The inhabitants speak Bikol, and the regional capital, commercial/financial center and transportation hub are Naga City and Legazpi City.
