Big Bird recognizes the name of his companion from the story, but he finds he is running late to say goodbye to his traveling companion. Frantically running to meet her, the scene switches between him and a visibly sad Kaguya-hime waiting for him to arrive at the platform. However, Big Bird and Barkley arrive too late and finds she has already gone. It is implied that the young woman was the same Bamboo Princess of Japanese lore, having had to return to her home on the moon.
