In 1986, Freeman relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona after having a difference with other Local Church leaders. In Scottsdale, Freeman continued preaching the Word, writing his monthly publication, "The Christian", and focusing on his non-profit organization, the "Ministry of the Word". He also had a daily radio program broadcast in Phoenix and several cities in Washington.
