Bill Jorgensen was the founding and longtime anchor of New York City's WNEW-TV's (now WNYW Fox 5) "Ten O'clock News" from its inception in 1967 until 1979, when he accepted the anchor position at WPIX-TV, also in New York City, until his retirement in 1987. John Roland succeeded him at WNEW. Prior to the "Ten O'Clock News", he was a reporter for WEWS-TV in Cleveland, Ohio.
