Billy Reid, a former collegiate coach at the NCAA Division I level and professional player and coach, is in his first year as the Director of Basketball Operations at Southern Miss under Larry Eustachy.
Reid spent the 2004-05 season as an assistant coach at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, N.Y., the three years prior to that (2001-04) at the University of San Francisco in San Francisco, Calif.,and as the top assistant during 2000-01 at Rhode Island.
Reid earned his bachelor's degree in sociology from San Francisco in 1990 and received both a basketball coaching degree from the Federation Francoise de Basketball (1997) and a degree in physical education (1998) while in France.
