Bionicon (sometimes referred to as Bionicon 1.0) was an event devoted to "The Six Million Dollar Man" and "The Bionic Woman" television series'. The first fan convention was held June 23-25, 2006 in Tampa, Florida at the Doubletree Hotel on Cypress Street. The guest list included Lindsay Wagner, Richard Anderson, Lou Ferrigno, Carmen Argenziano, Erin Gray, Herbert Jefferson Jr., Denny Miller, Marc Singer, and Kenneth Johnson. Although there have been annual conventions with the Star Trek theme since 1972, this convention marked the first time one had been dedicated to the Bionic series'. Events included autograph sessions, a Live running director's commentary of a Bionic Woman episode by it's director, Kenneth Johnson, a Cocktail Party with the stars, a Banquet with the stars, Q&A sessions, and a Birthday Celebration for Lindsay Wagner. The convention was deemed a resounding success by all who attended, both celebrities and attendees, and is now being planned for an annual recurrance.
