Birsk State Pedagogical Institute was established in 1952 on the basis of three departments of the teaching institute, opened in Birsk since 1939.
Different forms of collaboration with the bodies of national education are being worked out at the Institiute: since 1995-96 academic year on the basis of Birsk State Pedagogical Institute functions the branch of Bashkir Institute of Qualification Development for the Educational Staff, which carries out the retraining of qualification of pedagogical staff.
The Institute has the sport camp «Druzhba» which is located in one of the most ecologically clean places of Bashkortostan, at the bank of the lake Uset near the Belaya river.
On 17 February 1998 the Birsk Town Court of the Bashkortostan Republic granted the applicant’s civil action for compensation for work-related injuries against the municipal enterprise “Baltachevskaya rayselkhtoztekhnika” (МУП «Балтачевская райсельхозтехника», “the municipal enterprise”) and awarded her a lump sum of 18,526.99 Russian roubles (RUR) and monthly payments of RUR 788.40.
