Biscotasing (year round pop. 22 in 2004) often refered to as simply Bisco is a Lilliputian railroad town in Northern Ontario. It was founded in 1885 by Canadian Pacific Railroad as an access point and a center for Indian trade in the region. Soon after, the town lost its importance as a railroad town but still exsisted as a quiet fur trading town. Sitting on Biscotasi Lake, it does provide access to canoists, fishermen, and back-country campers. The town has one genereral store that functions as the Post Office, tackle shop, grocery store and LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario), a community center, a church, and a one-room train station. Altough the year-round poputlation is only 22, during the summer season, the population swells to around 300, mostly tourists.
