Bishopsbourne is a small village in Kent, UK. It lies in the Nailbourne valley four miles from Canterbury and about fifteen miles from Dover. When Ivan Badcock was growing up in Bishopsbourne a trip to Launceston was an eagerly-awaited annual event.
A former banker and now part-time farmer, Mr Badcock is a third generation Bishopsbourne resident, though his great, great grandfather first came to the area in the 1840s.
"Bishopsbourne was much more of a country town then, now it is a dormitory town for Launceston," Mr Badcock said.
