The tower is 25 metres tall. Its construction began in 1913 and was finished in 1921. The total contruction cost was approximately 200, 000 marks. The tower is located on top of a small hill and is surrounded by a small forest. This small nature area is surrounded, however, by an industrial area. It is approximately 6 kms from the city centre. To get there, take tram nummer 6. Tram number 6’s end station is literally at the base of the small hill where the tower stands. One can also very easily follow the tram tracks in a car or by bicycle. Although one can visit the tower, the main entry way is fully sealed off, as are all windows, making entry impossible. It is also in need of restoration. Nonetheless, it remains in decent condition and another sight to see in Szczecin.
