Recently, packets of liquid 'Bisto' gravy have become available, sold from the chiller cabinets of supermarkets. This claims to be 'just like home-made gravy'. The flavor and consistency appear to be considerably different from gravy made with the dry Bisto granules.
Bisto is notable both for the age of the brand itself and the advertising campaigns it has used. Many people still instantly recognise the 'Bisto Chidren', a boy and girl in ragged clothes catching a waft of the smell of Bisto and saying 'Ah, Bisto'.
