The history of Fly On The Windscreen is quite interesting: It was already released in multiple versions on the It's Called A Heart single as a B-side. The band decided that the song was too good and it might be too easily forgotten if they don't release it on an album. So they redid the song, adding new effects and reworking the original effects, especially making it more stereo sounding, and released it as "Final" on this album. It was then later performed live in 1993 on the Devotional tour.

On live concerts of Depeche Mode since 1993 only songs of this album and newer are usually played, songs from older albums are usually omitted with very few exceptions.
