Originating from the 1930's to 1940's, the Black Dragons were known as the Amur River Society (kokuryu-kai.) Infamously known for their acts of espionage, the Black Dragons were involved with subversion in China, and especially in the United States during World War II. This group would later prove to be the foundation for the current Japanese mafia, known as the yakuza.
