Black Ice (Oakland California) was formed in 1999 by Stevenson Sedjwick (legendary Guitarist and Keyboardist of The Phantom Limbs, Factory Of Angst, Bloody Melinda, O.P.B., Electricution Boys, Holy Revolver Society, Oliver Klosoff And The Applicators) and Skot Brown ( legendary bassist and Keyboards of The Phantom Limbs, Anal Kitties, Package, Oliver Klossoff And The Applicators, and Holy Revolver Society). In 2001 Miss Kel (of Sister Mary Shoelace and Noise Collash) joined the band with lead vocals. The band recorded a four song demo with conventional and non-conventional instruments. In 2002, Kevin Brown (of The Freaks, Sister Mary Shoelace, and The Legendary Freemonious Wah) joined the line up playing guitar/drums and Melanie X (of Teeth, and Unicorn Stickers) became a dedicated keyboardist.
