Jump to: navigation, search
Blackburn Park Road were a soccer team formed in 1875. They played at Audley Road, in the middle of Blackburn, Lancashire, not far from the railway station. For a few short years in the 1880's they entered the FA Cup, then known as the English Cup. Despite some good results they were rarely a match for the two major town teams of that time: Rovers and Olympic. In 1883-84 they beat Clitheroe Low Moor 6-0, before losing narrowly (2-3) to one of the region's best teams, Accrington. Eventually they folded, as Rovers creamed off the best players.
