Encyclopedia > Blake Stone

Blake Stone was one of the lesser-known cousins of the game Wolfenstein 3D. While it used the game engine, it added many new features, and started the idea of going back and forth between levels that the game HeXen used later.

You are pitted against Dr. Pyrus Goldfire a genetic engineer "genius" who is using humans to mutate them and take over the Known Universe for his own deeds.

Blake takes place in the 22nd Century. You get several weapons, more than in Wolfenstein 3D. Plus it had more features such as clipping, invisibility and auto-map tweaks.

In 1995, Blake Stone Planet Strike was released. It follows up where Blake Stone Aliens of Gold left off.
