Gregor Shapanka Gregor Shapanka is a scientist obsessed with immortality, and decides studying cryonics is the first step towards his goal. Shapanka then joins the company Stark Industries to fund his research, and eventually attempts to steal directly from Tony Stark - secretly the hero Iron Man. Shapanka is caught and fired, but not before stealing technology to create a suit containing cold-generating devices. Randy Macklin Randall "Randy" Macklin, after failing to find work following his release from prison, used the spare Blizzard costume he was holding on to for his old pal, Donald Gill. He made a brief, halfhearted attempt at a criminal career, but Iron Man quickly defeated him and, in the spirit of the season, offered him a legitimate job at Stark Enterprises.
Powers and abilities All three viilains have similar powers which derive from their costumes. Micro-circuitry makes it possible to instantly lower the temperature of the surrounding air or objects and also project ice as a projectile. The current costume used by Donny Gill has been improved upon by the members of the Thunderbolts formerly known as the Beetle and the Fixer. It can essentially emulate most of the powers originally wielded by the mutant known as Iceman, including the spontaneous generation of Ice Bridges for extremely swift and maneuverable transportation (it does not give the wearer thermal vision).
