Summary

Bloc 8406 of "Manifesto on Freedom and Democracy for Viet Nam 2006" (or Khối 8406 Tuyên Ngôn Tự Do Dân Chủ Cho Việt Nam 2006) is a political group in Viet Nam dedicated to democracy in that country. It is named after the date of the manifesto, April 8, 2006.

Viet Nam's democratization, includes:

• the restoration of civil liberties
• the establishment of political parties
• the drafting of a new constitution
• democratic elections for a new representative National Assembly to choose a new national name, flag and anthem
