Sioux City Journal: Sheriff vows to find Nissen's killer (1612 words)
Bloemendaal said investigators in Los Angeles County are still trying to find Wellington, 58, who was last seen in 2005 in the Palmdale, Calif., area where he was arrested for stealing a bicycle.
According to Bloemendaal, Belt, 82, said a prostitute asked him to drive Nissen from California to Atlanta because "somebody wants to hurt her in California." The year of her death, 1978, Wilma lived in an apartment in Atlanta occupied by Belt's mother, Juanita, who died in Mississippi in 1990.
Bloemendaal said documents show that Nissen was trying to change her last name to Belt in February 1978.
