"Young Americans" controversy

In mid-2006, Blood for Blood's song "Ain't Like You (Wasted Youth II)" was used as backing music for a trailer for the pro-war documentary, "Young Americans" [[1]], made by Pat Dollard and U.S. Marines in Iraq. The trailer featured numerous images of anti-war protesters and icons, at which the song's aggressive message seemed targeted. It is unclear whether Pat Dollard had sought permission from the band for the use of the song, though founding band member Rob Lind is also known for his anti-war band Ramallah. Patrick Dollard is an American documentary filmmaker. ...

About Blood - Blood History (358 words)
The first recorded successful human blood transfusion was accomplished in 1818, but due to the lack of knowledge and research, it was followed by many blood transfusion failures.
By the end of 1947, several blood banks had been established in major cities across the U.S. and blood donation was promoted to the public as a way of fulfilling one's civic responsibility.
Freezing of red blood cells, separation of different blood components by centrifugation, apheresis (extraction of one blood component and returning the rest to the donor) and many other discoveries and advancements make for full utilization of every donation.
