History

In the main Marvel Universe the X-Man Havok attempted to stop his friend, Greystone from using a faulty time machine to return to his native timeline. However, the device exploded, killing both men...or so it seemed. Havok found himself transported to an alternate reality where he was the leader of a hero group called The Six, where he met alternate versions of his friends and family. One of his teammates was a differently mutated Ororo Munroe, who called herself Bloodstorm in this reality. In the main Marvel Universe, Storm was able to survive the bite of Dracula because her transformation was not yet complete. However, in this reality Storm was not so lucky. She was transformed into a vampire and renamed herself Bloodstorm. She quit the X-Men for a time, trying her best not to succumb to her dark desires and went to her lover Forge for help. He helped her in the only way he could think of: to become her food source so she wouldn't have to kill. In addition to him, she also fed on Kitty Pryde from time to time, destabilizing their previous parent figure-child relationship. When Havok of the main Marvel Universe appeared, he had a hard time adjusting to Bloodstorm, but over time they formed a strong bond. However, that would not stop her from being influenced by other forces. When the Goblyn Queen first ascended to power, she manipulated all the members of the Six (with the exception of Fallen who joined willingly) into serving her purpose. However, the team broke free of her influence and was able to defeat her, choosing to remain with Havok and reform the team with the new goal of saving mutants from the crazed Nick Fury and SHIELD. On a side mission, Bloodstorm fought the leader of the Outsiders--this reality's version of the Morlocks--to free her captive friends. In a freak accident where Brute jumped infront of a psychic blast from a deranged Charles Xavier to protect Havok, he regained his intellect as a bizarre side-effect. As he felt his intelligence fading away, he wanted to help his friends, including finding a means to cure some to the side-effects of Bloodstorm and Gambit's vampirism. His attempts were successful, granting the two a serum which helped to satiate their blood lust and allowed them to walk outside in the daylight. However, this gift came at a price, and Brute once more reverted to his former mental state. Aside from her control over the weather Bloodstorm is also able to transform into a mist, summon, control, and transform into vermin and other animals such as wolves and bats, and drain blood through her fangs. Also, like any vampire, Ororo has the ability to turn others into vampires, but has only used this ability once.
