Bloomingdale's is an upscale department store owned by Federated Department Stores, which is also the owner of Macy's. Bloomingdale's has 36 stores nationwide, with annual sales of $1.9 billion dollars.


Its most famous store is the Manhattan flagship store located on 59th Street and Third Avenue, with entrances at both Third Avenue and Lexington Avenue.


Bloomingdale's is especially known for its iconic bag, labeled "The Brown Bag" by the chain; the name is prominently featured on the bags themselves.
