It was built in 1465 during the reign of Ak Koyunlu's Sultan Y‘aqub ibn Uzun Hasan by the orders of Salehe Khatun, daughter of Jan Beigom Khatun of the ruling royalty. After dying Uzun Hasan he has buried in the Southern part of mosque.
