Bob's biggest mistake, and I've posted comments to his blog about this, is failing to respond to user comments within the comment thread, rather than in a summarizing post.
Bob doesn't read comments, so the "interactive" aspect of the blog is unreal, this is a Pseudo Blog, violating almost all the core values of blogging, defying the Universal Blog Mantra.
