Newman was born in Washington, DC in 1958. Raised primarily in rural Maine and along the edge of the Everglades in Florida, Newman attended the University of Maine at Orono before joining the Marine Corps in 1977. The author of several books and numerous articles and columns, Newman resides in Colorado. His talk show has always been highly controversial, including accusations of being hate radio. He is a successful investigative journalist covering the war on terror, with at least 100 accurate predictions and assessments, and stories he has broken since October 2001 (more than all other military science and terrorism analysts in the media combined).
