Character history

Bobbie is the sister of Luke Spencer. She has a wild past, having been a prostitute in her teenage years. She became pregnant with her daughter Carly Corinthos by John Durant, one of her regular johns, and gave the baby up for adoption. A few years later, she straightened out her life and became a nurse, but she continued to lie and scheme her way into romantic entanglements with various men, including Scotty Baldwin, Noah Drake, and Roy DiLucca. She was battered by husband D.L. Brock and had to have a hysterectomy after being beaten up by him. Later she married Dr. Tony Jones and had settled down to raising Tony's daughter, B.J., and Lucas, the son they adopted together. Then B.J. was killed when her school van was hit by a drunk driver. Bobbie's marriage broke up under that stress and under Tony's reaction to seeing her kiss mobster Damian Smith. When Carly, the daughter Bobbie gave up for adoption came to town, she deliberately set out to steal Tony away from Bobbie. Carly didn't reveal her true identity for a few years. Eventually, she told Bobbie the truth and they formed a mother-daughter relationship. She has two grandsons Michael and Morgan by her daughter Carly's marriage to her ex-husband Sonny.
