Robert Michael ("Bob" or "Bobby") Ojeda (b. December 17, 1957 in Los Angeles, California) is a former Major League Baseballpitcher who pitched all or part of 15 seasons for five different MLB teams. While an accomplished pitcher (he had a 3.65 earned run average in 1884 1/3 innings in his career), he is perhaps best known for being the lone survivor of a March 23, 1993 boating accident, when he was in training camp with the Cleveland Indians, that killed fellow pitchers Steve Olin and Tim Crews. Ojeda suffered major injuries and sat out most of the season to recuperate, but returned late that season and had a respectable 4.40 ERA in 43 innings. However, that would be the near end of his career. He was with the New York Yankees the following season, but was released after making two starts and never pitched another major league game.
