The Bogue class were a group of Escort Carriers built during the second world war. Several of the first ones were sent to the United Kingdom where they were known as the Attacker Class and renamed with Royal Navy names. In their place replacements were constructed with the same names for the American fleet. A second group of ships were built and sent in its entirety to the Royal Navy, named the Ameer class in British service.
