Boleslaw Sverkerson was the son of Sverker the Elder of Sweden and his wife Rikissa of Poland, and was the younger brother of Karl Sverkerson and Kol Sverkerson. Sverkerson was named Boleslaw in honor of his grandfather on his mother's side. For several years, Sverkerson was a rival claimant to the Swedish throne with Canute Ericson. Sverkerson is believed either to have been murdered by Canute's men, or to have fled to Poland sometime before 1173.
