Bomp! Records is the first indepdent record label in the U.S., founded by Greg Shaw in the mid-1980's that released many punk, garage, powerpop, and surf revival records since its inception, on Bomp! and its sublabels Voxx "AIP", "Moxie". Iggy & The Stooges singles and archival material, such as Rough Power, and Iggy's first solo album Kill City, are some of the label's biggest sellers. They have also released records by the likes of The Chesterfield Kings, The Pandoras, Josie Cotton, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Dwarves, and GG Allin. In the mid 90s, Patrick Boissel affiliated himself with the BOMP! label, sharing promotion and distribution for his "Alive" and 'Total Energy" labels. Founder Greg Shaw died in October 1994, and the label has since been run by ex-wife Suzy Shaw and her husband Patrick Boissel. Not to be confused with The Three Stooges. ...
