BoomBoomSatellites are a three piece Tokyo band who do a high energy show incorporating drums, bass, guitar, vocals, and electronics.
The BoomBoomSatellites stage setup we saw had Masayuki playing bass as well as fielding electronics which included a Pioneer DJ type CD player, a sequencer, sub mixer, and Mac G4 powerbook running something we weren't able to see but I think was a sequencer/player and a rack of effects gear and amps behind.
BoomBoomSatellites next London gig is July 8 at the Dublin Castle.
BoomBoomSatellites are back in the UK and wound up their recent mini-tour to promote their new album, Photon - Commin' 2 a Phase, by playing the 100 Club in London.
BoomBoomSatellites know what their audiences want to hear and play an impeccable set full of chunky rhythms and hardcore beats that doesn't disappoint.
In many ways, BoomBoomSatellites are a better live act than they are on record and I'm hoping at some point they'll decide to put out a live album that captures their dynamism.
