Borden County is a county located in the state of Texas. As of 2000, the population is 729. Its county seat is Gail6. Borden is named for Gail Borden, Jr., businessman, publisher, surveyor, and inventor of condensed milk.
Geography According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,347 km˛ (906 mi˛). 2,328 km˛ (899 mi˛) of it is land and 19 km˛ (7 mi˛) of it is water. The total area is 0.80% water.
