The Borodino class was a class of 4 battlecruisers of the Imperial Russian Navy. The ships were all laid down in December, 1913 in St. Petersburg, and were to serve in the Baltic Fleet. They were launched in 1915-1916, but the outbreak of the Russian Revolution in 1917 put a stop to their construction, which never resumed. The battlecruisers were to displace 38,000 tons at full load, have a maximum speed of 26.5 knots, and carry a main battery of 12 14-inch (356 mm) guns in 4 triple turrets [1].


The names of the ships were: Borodino, Izmail, Kinburn and Navarin.
