The Borough of Queenscliffe is a Local Government Area in Victoria, Australia. It is located in the southern part of the state, south_east of Geelong. It has an area of 12.0 square kilometres. In 2001 it had a population of 3,506. It is the smallest municipality in Victoria in both area and population.
It is located in the southern part of the state, south-east of Geelong on the Bellarine Peninsula.
It is the last Borough left in Victoria, and was the only LGA to escape change in the mass Victorian munincipality reorganisation of the early 90's.
It has been argued that Queenscliffe survived because it's the home to a large number of retired Liberal Party members who have run the local council for years.
