Created in 1992 by author Darko Macan, Borovnica was originally printed in black and white, yet appeared in color years later. Each comic usually consists of six frames. Characters Borovnica: Her name means "blueberry" in croatian. Her clothing consists of a pink dress with black spots. Her hair is drawn as a big black ball with a ponytail. Her personality is dark, angry, and rude. She is afraid of spiders and, despite her personality, has lots of friends. The victims of her pranks are usually teachers, her father, or the character Oraščić. Oraščić: His name means "small nut" in croatian. He is the most common victim of Borovnica's pranks. His clothing consists of a T-shirt with white and orange stripes, and black trousers. Teacher: She is usually drawn wearing a blue shirt. She has blonde hair and dislikes Borovnica. Spider: The enemy of Borovnica. Oraščić introduced the spider to Borovnica, but her fear of spiders caused her to kick him, leaving one of his legs in Oraščić's hand. Since that moment the spider has sought revenge for the loss of his leg.
Stories Borovnica usually has one joke in comic over one page, but sometimes a few jokes become connected story. For example: Borovnica got lost in the forest once and joined the wolwes and after that got back in the civilization. In another story she left her comic, forcing creator to have auditions for new Borovnica character. In another one she argued with her dad over pop-corns. |
