Snoop Doggs' musical film inspired by his preceding album R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta) The Masterpiece, Boss 'n up debuted on 6th December 2005. It came out in DVD format. Also it is the first release of newly founded Snoopadelic Films run by Snoop Dogg. Snoops stars as a grocery clerk named Cordé Christopher, a young charismatic player surrounded with ladies attracted by his pimp aura. He sees a better way of life and financial success in the street game. He becomes a protégé of Orange Juice, an old-time lazy gangster, who cultivates Cordé's talent by sharing his street knowledge with him. OJ teaches Corde the rules of the game and raises him up as his own son. Meanwhile Cordé has to choose between the love of his life, Chardonnay Allen, and his sucessful career as a pimp. The casting includes other musicians like Atlanta rapper Lil Jon plays the role of Sherrif, who runs a strip club owner and gets into Corde's business, Miami rapper Trina is Dominique, Corde's attractive attorney freeing him from prison, and comedian Scrucho is Hucky G, Corde's crime partner.
