The city of Vinkovci lies upon the banks of the river Bosut, in the green and rich plain of Slavonia.
Inhabited by people for almost 6000 years, the site has survived thousands of shocks caused by ups and downs of several civilisations and their ars as much as by climate changes.
Nowadays it can be proud of its institutions of science, culture, education and art, of its many celebrities, as ell as of its traditional heritage that the folklore festival of "Vinkovacke Jeseni" brings to full light.
