Bougatsa (Greek: Μπουγάτσα) is a famous, traditional delicacy that originates in the Macedonia region of northern Greece. It is made out of a particular, crusty type of phyllo dough and a number of different fillings, such as custard cream, cheese or minced meat. Bougatsa is primarily consumed in the northern Greek port of Thessaloniki.
