It was announced that Bob Boughner who is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Boyd Gaming's Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey will leave that position to lead the development of the Echelon Place project. The Stardust will be demolished in early 2007, with Echelon Place scheduled to open in early 2010.
