In march 2007, a publication 1 in Congressional Quarterly cited an undisclosed risk-analysis for a private bank, saying that Boyko Borisov has been connected in his business and history to organized crime in Bulgaria, as well as some connections to unresolved murders of opponents of his alleged partners in the underworld. The period when Borisov was Secretary of the Bulgarian Ministry of Internal Affairs is mentioned as over 100 of such unresolved murders occurred during it. The article outbursted media attention in the country and prompt denial from all parties mentioned. Rumours say that it is exactly Borisov who is responsible for many of those acts of planned dispatching as a person with underground & communist past - to clear up his CV and way towards the political top, sweeping off his ex-fellows and possible witnesses, as well as to consolidate Bulgarian mob, becoming capo di tutti capi in shade. Borisov is also critisized for his impudent snatching of one of the most powerful Bulgarian banks he has been controlling via his girlfriend, Tzvetelina Borislavova, who is officially in charge. Borisov founded a new political party, GERB in 2006 (in English Coat of Arms, while also being an acronym). The GERB party won the latest elections on 20 May 2007 for Bulgarian representatives in the European parliament, despite very low poll attendance and that prompted Borisov to voice his will for early parliamentary elections. Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (Bulgarian: , Graždani za evropejsko razvitie na BÇlgarija; ÐÐÐ Ð, GERB) is a Bulgarian centre-right political party established on 2006-12-03. ...
