Boylan "Titans" Central Catholic High School is a private Catholic school in the city of Rockford, Illinois. Opened in 1960, Boylan is Rockford's only Catholic high school, currently consisting with a student body of 1279. Boylan has received several academic accolades throughout its 45-year history. Most notably, the school has thrice won the Blue Ribbon School Award from the US Department of Education, a feat matched by just twenty-eight other schools nationwide. Boylan offers a high quality education and one of the better sports programs in Rockford and northern Illinois. Boylan Catholic High School, in Rockford, achieved the award for the highest team average.
Boylan student James Woywod and St. Charles student Jim Houswerth received an award for each scoring 47 of 48 on the law exam.
