In the Stargate universe, Bra'tac is a former First Prime of the Goa'uld System Lord Apophis played by Tony Amendola; as of Season Nine, he is also a Progressive member of the High Council of the Free Jaffa Nation. He is a legendary Jaffa warrior, Teal'c's former teacher and closest friend, and also a guardian to his son, Rya'c. Bra'tac's quest is to rid the galaxy of the Goa'uld, whose veil of divinity he has penetrated and who he hates for enslaving the Jaffa.
