Brakeman Bill was a local children's television host who aired on KTNT-TV (later KSTW) in Tacoma, Washington from 1955 to 1975. Portrayed by local television cameraman Bill McLain, Brakeman Bill dressed as a railroad brakeman and performed on a railroad-themed set. With his hand-puppet sidekick "Crazy Donkey," Brakeman Bill hosted cartoons and greeted local children who stopped by the set.
