Brazen Abbot is a Finnish rock band. Originally a studio project of Bulgarian guitarist, producer and song writer Nikolo Kotzev, who is a Finnish resident, the band has since made several live performances.
One of the defining aspects of Brazen Abbot is the employment of multiple singers; every album features three or four singers, with Göran Edman and Joe Lynn Turner having appeared on most Brazen Abbot albums. When performing live, however, Joe Lynn Turner is typically the only singer.
Several of the band members have also appeared on Nikolo Kotzev's ambitious rock opera Nostradamus (2001). BRAZEN ABBOT, the brainchild of Bulgarian guitarist Nikolo Kotzev, will release a live CD/DVD package, entitled "A Decade Of Brazen Abbot", on November 22 via Frontiers Records.
Following the release of the last BRAZEN ABBOT studio album, the critically acclaimed "Guilty As Sin", the band had for the first time the possibility to be embarked on a tour in Nikolo Kotzev's home country Bulgaria.
The Brazen Abbot live CD and DVD will be available at www.dynastymetalmusic.com when it is released.

So far four Brazen Abbot albums have been released, "Live and Learn" in 1995, "Eye of the Storm" in 1996, "Bad Religion" in 1997 and “Guilty As Sin” in 2003, featuring such renowned musicians as Joe Lynn Turner, Glenn Hughes, Göran Edman, Thomas Vikström and the Europe members John Levén, Mic Michaeli and Ian Haugland.
The concerts were filmed and became the main part of the documentary DVD “A Decade Of Brazen Abbot” released in 2004 as a tribute to the 10th anniversary of the project.
For the first time in the Brazen Abbot history a full-blown string orchestra of 31 people, recorded in Nikolo's home country Bulgaria, is used almost entirely throughout the record.
