Facilities
Breaffy's many facilites include the luxurious four star Breaffy House Hotel, which has one of the country's top leisure centre and sports hotels. The hotel was first built as the personal mansion of the wealthy Browne family. The local watering hole is the Shamrock Bar, a small pub located next to St. Aloysius Catholic Church, which was built in 1976. Other facilities include St. John's National School and Curry's Country Store (part of the Vivo chain). Breaffy also has a Gaelic Athletic Association pitch and newly built clubhouse which is the home ground of the Mayo County "A" minor Champions and County under-21 B Champions. A stylised Celtic cross serves as the traditional logo of the GAA.
