Brennen College is one of the oldest educational institutions in Kerala. It is near Thalassery town in Kannur District of Kerala state, south India. The Brennen College evolved from a school established by the Englishphilanthropist, Edward Brennen, who had made Thalassery his home. This college, which is more than a hundred years old is one of the premier educational institutions in the state of Kerala. In December 2004, the government of Kerala decided to bestow the status of University to the Brennen College. Currently there are about 16 Departments in the College most of which offering Post Graduate Level courses.
