The constituency covers the eastern half of the London Borough of Hounslow, containing ten wards thereof: Chiswick Homefields, Chiswick Riverside, Turnham Green, Brentford, Isleworth, Syon, Osterley & Spring Grove, Hounslow Central, Hounslow South, and Hounslow Heath. The London Borough of Hounslow is a London borough in west outer London. ...


The Hounslow side of the constituency is strong for Labour, and is a striking contrast to neighbouring wards which fall in the Twickenham or Richmond Park constituencies and are strongly Liberal Democrat. It is the wards over to the territory east of the constituency, the three Chiswick wards in particular, where the Conservatives enjoy more success. Chiswick has a higher number of professionals and much desirable housing. The wards of Osterley & Spring Grove and Hounslow South are more marginal.


Overall unemployment here is low - 1.7% in December 2000 - and inward investment is fairly good. The constituency is home to many multinational companies. Streatham is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.
The 1918 boundaries of the Streatham constituency remained unchanged until changes to Greater London local government in the 1960s were reflected in the constituency boundaries fought at the February 1974 general election.
The Streatham constituency was reduced in size, with a western area being divided between the then new constituencies of Battersea South and Tooting.

Vauxhall is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.
Since the abolition of the Lambeth Central constituency in 1983, the constituency has included all of Kennington and Stockwell, and the northern parts of Clapham and Brixton as well as the area commonly known as Vauxhall.
The local government wards in the constituency are currently divided between Labour and Liberal Democrats on Lambeth Council, with a lone Conservative representing Clapham Town ward until losing the seat in the 2006 local elections.
